Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it – Buddha
I found my purpose in life…
And I found the purpose of money

Hi there! Welcome to the Financial Guru Mom’s Blog
I’m Alex, a mom who is committed to the best of her family, a mom just like you.
This website started after an awaking moment I had by reading a Business Insider’s article on 8 life events millennials are putting off longer than their parents because they can’t afford them: it left me thinking a lot about my newly formed family (my daughter was just 2 years old) and the future….
Marketing is my Daily Bread, or I should say, my Daily drink as I work in the Beverage industry. I spend every day studying all about baby boomers and Millennials, with a little of Gen X (always a little forgotten) and some Gen Y. And almost every day I have to read about the generation gap and what can’t the millennials afford that their parents could.
“Millennials must raise up and we must rebel to our destiny ✨” – I said to myself
Yes, I am a Millennial (an old one, I was born in 1981), and I decided to throw myself a financial challenge: create for my daughter all that my parents created for me and even more.
The purpose of money is to create a good life for my family and help others. It is pretty simple nonetheless it will take dedication as I am starting from a basic salary level.
The purpose of money is also to share with other people the lesson so that they will be able to improve their financial situation and live stress-free,
By 2035, when Maria will turn 18, the goals are:
* Debt free university: raise a university fund of $100,000
* A real estate property: $150,000 for a studio/one bedroom (hopefully this budget will allow to buy something or to be a good down payment in case we will still leave in New York City)
In the meanwhile, in these 16 years, there are also to cover all the expenses of the family, her education.
And of course, as a millennial who enjoys day-dreaming I also have my personal and financial dreams:
* A worthy-remembering travel every year
* A life mission and a team that I can work together with to achieve it
* A successful marriage (like my parents)
* Hopefully, a sibling for Maria
Hey, Wait! I also need to grow “a fortune” to afford to retire ?
With no further ado, let me roll my sleeves up and
start this generation money challenge.
Are you willing to join me? What is the purpose of money for you?
Head to the FGM blog to learn strategies, tips on earning, and investing.
Hopefully, I will share also my achievements.
